The Hoffman Kofman Leadership Program is a four-month executive excellence program specially tailored for twenty-four outstanding alumni of the Zell Entrepreneurship Program at IDC Herzliya. 

The initiative is generously funded by Mr. Reid G. Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn, Partner at the venture capital firm Greylock Partners and by Prof. Fred Kofman, VP leadership at Google, Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley. 

Learning is led by Prof. Kofman, one of the world's most prominent leadership experts and coach to top business executives as Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, LinkedIn CEO Jeff Weiner, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadela.

 

MISSION

Develop entrepreneurial leaders into exemplars of excellence who elicit their followers and team members’ internal commitment to a shared mission of creating social and economic value.

 

PROGRAM STRUCTURE & SCHEDULE

  • Opening event - October 1st, 2020.

 

  • Mini workshops with Prof. Kofman and coaches - The workshops will take place at IDC Herzliya in groups of 6 (each participant will join one workshop).

  • Weekly group online coaching sessions - Utilizing real-time virtual discussions (90min) in small groups of 6 participants with a coach/facilitator in order to discuss the leadership content and its applications.

  • Online learning platform - During the program, you will watch videos, listen to audio, read, and take exams.

  • 3 days, In-person offsite workshop with Prof. Kofman - December 3rd-5th.

 

PROGRAM CONTENT

  • The course is based on a uniquely developed online platform coupled with Prof. Kofman's two leadership books: Conscious Business (2008); and The Meaning Revolution: The Power of Transcendent Leadership (2018).  

  • 360-degree skill set development - from team work, purposeful management and conflict resolution, through non-violent communication and philosophy, and all the way to coaching and mindfulness. 

  • The course is highly implemental and will focus on three areas of applying the learned material into everyday life: intrapersonal (relationship to self), interpersonal (relationship to team), and impersonal (relationship to company/society).

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience post-graduation - or holders of a management position overseeing 5 or more employees.

  • Participants will be required to attend all sessions: opening event, mini-workshop, all weekly group coaching sessions (zoom based), and the 3 days, In-person offsite workshop with Prof. Kofman. 

  • Each participant will commit to maintain a daily mindfulness practice along with breathing exercise (total of 20 min a day).

  • Each participant will commit to maintain a minimal weekly physical training (2 hours/week) to complete a full personal development path, engaging your mind, body and heart. 

 

  • The program will require participants to invest a minimum of 9 hours per week - content digest (3 hours), weekly meetings (1.5 hours) and personal practice (4.5 hours - this includes the physical workout and mindfulness practice).
